DK139: PTFE /Polymer Spring Energized Piston Seal

SCS, INC. DK139:   Single acting asymmetrical PTFE / Polymer piston seal energized with a cantilever finger spring. Outstanding for low friction with good run dry properties. Heavy dynamic lip offering reduced friction, long life and good scraping effect even in highly viscous media. At low to zero pressure, the metal spring provides the primary sealing force, as system pressure increases, the main sealing force is achieved by the system pressure and ensures a tight seal from zero to high pressure. Excellent for chemical and thermal resistance, acceptable for use in FDA approved applications. Extremely adaptive possibilities for diverse temperatures and media with a wide selection of seal materials. Available in TFE 55D, BRONZE-TFE 40D, BRONZE-TFE 60D, CARBON-TFE 25, GLASS-MOLY 15, POM 85D, PEEK 86D, PA 77D, UHMW 61D & PA66D. Also can be modified to accept an O-ring loaded energizer.
