Our vee sets are the finest quality available in the industry. While all sets incorporate fabric reinforced rubber pressure rings, one or two urethane rings are included to improve low pressure sealing, when it is feasible. Most sets use nylon adaptors. Properly installed the pressure limits are as follows: 3,000 PSI = 4 VEES 5,000 PSI = 5 VEES 10,000 PSI = 6 VEES CONSTRUCTION CODE Example: FA-2U-3F-MA FA - 1 TOP ADAPTOR 2U - 2 URETHANE VEE RINGS 2F - 2 FABRIC VEE RINGS MA - 1 BOTTOM ADAPTOR V= FLUOROCARBON U= SPECIAL URETHANE VEE H= HYTREL W= WIPER INCLUDED

UKR u-seals are designed to act as a positive sealing, low friction replacement for conventional rubber u-seals. Molded from polyurethane, UKR u-seals provide long life and high resistance against extrusion. Low friction allows these seals to run smoothly in lubricated or non-lucricated cylinder. Available for rod sealing, the flexible dynamic lip provides very low breakaway friction and steady motion.

The Z-Seal is a squeeze type seal, combining the excellent sealability and low compression set of a resilient rubber lip with the greater anti-extrusion characteristics of a hard thermoplastic base. Under low pressure conditions, the sealing lip provides its own compressive seal force. As pressure increases, hydrostatic pressure is mechanically transmitted through the elastomeric seal element into the anti-extrusion base. The applied force then deflects radially in a controlled manner, closing the extrusion gap behind the sealing lip. Under this condition, maximum sealing effectiveness is achieved.

IRON PISTON RINGS
When using iron piston rings, it is crucial to use the correct groove design for proper performance of the cylinder. Please use the following guidelines when cutting an iron piston ring groove- GROOVE WIDTH:
- To permit the ring to slide freely into the groove, the groove must be at least 0.001 in. wider than the maximum piston ring width with a tolerance of +0.003 in./-0.000 in.
- GROOVE DEPTH:
- Grooves must be at least 0.015 in. deeper than the maximum radial wall thickness of the piston ring with a tolerance of +0.003 in./-0.000 in. This is to avoid any possibility of the ring bottoming in the groove when the ring is compressed to its working diameter.
- RADIAL CLEARANCE:
- The radial clearance between the cylinder bore and piston should be less than 1/3 of the radial wall thickness of the piston ring to ensure sealing effectiveness.

SG - 'Seal Guard' Metallic Rod
Each Seal Guard Wiper consists of two flexible bronze rings which are held in place by a nitrile cushion ring. The cushion ring absorbs side loads and energizes the wiper to maintain close contact with the rod. Particularly suited for hostile environments, seal guard wipers shave off sand, grift, slag, flux, paint, moisture, chips and slivers. Seal Guard Wipers are long-lasting, self-adjusting, and offer low friction. Seal Guard Wipers can be installed in standard HerculesÂź Sealing Products âSTâ or âDâ Style grooves by increasing the âFâ gland dimension to the âFâ Throat Diameter shown.SEAL INFORMATION MATERIAL 660 BRONZE
