U-cup style buffer ring offers an asymmetric sealing lip profile, chamfered sealing edges, and pressure relieving capabilities to prevent inner pressure entrapment when employed in a tandem sealing system. This rod buffer seal is designed to absorb impact pressure fluctuations under high-load conditions thus increasing the life of the primary seal.

Style DRTU-BHT rod seals are molded in Freudenberg® AU 30000 urethane. These seals are specifically designed with a second lip on their inside diameter and engineered to attain maximum life and reliability in dynamic rod sealing. This feature results in reduced leakage, less friction, increased stability, and prevents air and contaminants from entering the cylinder. This high tear-resistant urethane demonstrates stability throughout a wide range of temperatures. In addition, this material is well suited to mineral and biodegradable hydraulic fluids as well as being resistant to hydrolysis.

One Piece Double Acting Piston Cups
This complete piston cup with a simple, one-piece construction serves the same purpose as a multi-assembly unit and is more economical with easy maintenance, dependability and long life. The unique piston cup consists of homogeneous rubber bonded to a zinc coated steel plate. The center hole may be enlarged to accommodate larger piston rods. Recommended for pneumatic and low-pressure hydraulic applications.SEAL INFORMATION MATERIAL RUBBER LIP, ZINC COATED STEEL PLATE TEMPERATURE RANGE -40° to +220° F PRESSURE RANGE 0 to 800 PSI SPEED 3 FT/SEC PART NUMBER (Prefix) - (Bore Size) -
Out of stockThese lip-type buffer seals are designed for replacement in Caterpillar® cylinders. The hinged-lip design reduces friction, heat, and wear under low-pressure conditions and acts as a check valve allowing back-pressure relief. Seals for rod sizes 2-1/8" and under do not have a back-up ring. Caterpillar Specific Buffer Seals - DYR Style
